Which Plant Foods Are Optimal For Your Genetics?

This information is from our video about achieving an optimal diet. Watch here to learn about the rest of the diet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMdvHLX2D5c&feature=youtu.be

The Food Pyramid

The food pyramid for the optimal diet is not the same as the one you learned about in your grade school class room. It focuses on protein and fats. Carbohydrates come last, but they are still important. Especially, if you are an athlete (discussed at bottom).

The Plant Toxicity Scale

Carbohydrates come from plant foods, but not all are created equal. The plant toxicity scale explains which are fine to have while still minding the food pyramid, which you should only have in moderation, and which you should limit as much as possible.

The Protocol

1. Eliminate Medium and High foods from your diet

  • Leaves
  • stems
  • roots
  • seeds
  • nuts
  • grains
  • legumes

2. See how good you feel with just fruits

3. Add Medium foods and see how you tolerate them

  • Stomach hurting?
  • Feeling good?
  • Feeling satiated?
  • Feel energetic?
  • Feeling lethargic?

4. If a certain vegetable from the High category tastes good to you, feel free to experiment with it

5. ATHLETES ONLY: Test out grains as needed for extra carbohydrates. Eating fruits alone is usually not enough for performance because you cannot eat the volume required for the carbohydrates needed.

  • Grains are seeds
  • White rice has no hull
  • Sour dough has less gluten
  • Pasta might be okay
